Need a good laugh?

I was just reading an interesting NY Times story about people who get tatoos with Chinese characters only to find out that they don't say what they intended to say (like "putrid moth balls" instead of "true love"). They had a link to a fabulous website, which literally had me peeing my pants with laughter. So, if you need some fun, get your daily dose of "Engrish" here:

I knew a guy who thought he had a tattoo that said "power," but they'd rotated and flipped the character, so it was the numeral 7.

Not quite as funny as "putrid moth balls," but I was there when he found out, which made up for it.

Tomorrow marks the second anniversary of my blog. I had no idea where my life would go when I started this blog, and it's fun for me to read back through the archives and remember feelings and events that I have already forgotten. Debate 2008

One of the features of our new apartment is a working garbage disposal. It's been a few years since we've had one, and Mr. Fob and I are suddenly discovering a new source of marital conflict. According to Mr. Fob, movies and television have taught him that you should never stick your hand in the garbage disposal, even if it is turned off. I prefer to rely on common sense and the fact that the off switch means "off" and stick my hand in to make sure no utensils are hiding before turning it on. Mr. Fob thinks I'm crazy. What do you think? Do you stick your hand in the garbage disposal or do you like to grind up your spoons and forks?
